Dragon

dream of fire
with death death ablaze
she soars mighty
throughout the haze

amber eyes of wisdom
set deep in emerald scales

tales of war
fables of gore
deep within

she spreads her silvered wings
and caution flings
to rule fore'r more
with a chilling roar

high she doth soar
queen to the core
Majesty and more

in the world
but never of it

forever free
forever more
if only inside
it may be

  1. I love dragon poems. I hope we all can soar and be free inside.
Your rhyme ties it together nicely without being predictable. That fits a dragon perfectly--I doubt they are predictable at all.
